Optimize calibration intervals with software

Article Abstract:

CyberMetrics Corp. suggests that calibration intervals could be optimized while keeping calibration costs at the minimum with the support of a computer software called GAGEtrak. The software, which was developed by CyberMetrics, helps the firm in managing the calibration records obtained during the process of calibration. GAGEtrak features a number of functions including a capability to be modified according to the company's specifications or industry standards and analyze measurements from a group of gages.

PDM speeds ECO routing 75%

Article Abstract:

Communications equipment manufacturer Aspect Telecommunications Corp of San Jose, CA decided to employ a new product-data-management (PDM) system from Agile Software of San Jose, CA. The new system enabled the firm to more efficiently manage enterprise-resourcing-planning data, bills of materials, engineering change orders (ECO) and technical materials. The new PDM reduced ECO routing time some 75%, improved data entry cut to 35%, and improved paper costs.

Software package eases test programming

Hewlett-Packard has introduced its HP VEE graphical programming software to enable engineers to focus on their development of tests rather than on having to place their tests on computer programs which is time- and effort-consuming. The HP VEE boasts an improved mathematical function library and can be connected to any equipment equipped with a VXIbus.
