PDM system helps QMS reduce cycle times

Article Abstract:

Network laser printer and imaging system manufacturer QMS Inc. decided to use a product-data-management (PDM) software to replace its hard-copy-based method of monitoring engineering document changes. A PDM system aids in tightening production, enhances data distribution and control, and provides a way for checking the life cycle of each product. QMS chose a PDM system from Sherpa Corp. because of its distributed-database, information-management strategy and adaptability to several operating systems.
