Pyramid abrasives cut metals, costs and time

Article Abstract:

3M has produced a new abrasive product called Trizact which is claimed to give a 2,000 grit finish and also cuts down on the finishing operations which are needed. Trizact has been produced using micro replication techniques and it gives an even finish to surfaces, lasts three times longer than other products and is more cost-effective because of the way it has been designed. The abrasive surface has pyramid structures which wear down evenly, and as one surface is used, another surface of the pyramid is ready for use.
