In memoriam - Gary J. Powers (1945-2007)

Gary Powers was a chemical engineering professor at Carnegie Mellon University for over 30 years, until he passed away on July 30, 2007 . Powers was a well-liked and popular professor in the university, and was a frequent recipient of the Kun Li Award for Excellence in Education. His contributions to the school and the views of his peers are also given.
