Community service
Article Abstract:
The Planning for Real initiative developed from joint work by Hamilton District Council and the Scottish Community Development Centre to look at innovative approaches to community development and citizen participation. It is a technique for securing the involvement of individuals and groups in planning developments in their local area. It uses a basic three-dimensional model of the area, from which conflicts within the community can be identified and discussed.
