Shock tactics lead to compact design

Article Abstract:

Developing a dual-ended shock absorber has allowed Ace Controls International to increase capacity and performance by up to 50% over traditional shock absorbers. Ace Controls claims the new shock absorbers are the same size as their pervious shock absorbers but by configuring the ends to give accessibility and flexibility, the absorbers offer manufacturers the possibility of using low cost units instead of more expensive, larger models.

Shrink joint clamps down on stoppages

Article Abstract:

Simplatroll is offering a new shrink joint, dubbed ETP-Impress, which reduces the turnaround of stoppages. The new joint is aimed at applications where shut downs are continually necessary and it has already been implemented in a paper production plant, where shut down occurs regularly for changing of de-watering process bearings. The ETP-Impress has reduced process time, manpower, and costs.
