Stirling effort keeps its cool while on the move
Article Abstract:
Materials technologies, partly derived from NASA programs, are providing the means to make very lightweight carrying containers for air cargo and human transport of pharmaceuticals, vaccines and food. The Thales Stirling Cryocooler from Asymptote makes thermal insulation lightweight, flexible and durable all at the same time in order to improve portability of things that need to be kept hot or cold.
