Du Pont tries to clean up its act

Article Abstract:

Du Pont, the nation's largest chemical manufacturer, has seen its environmental law group grow as federal and state pollution regulations have expanded. The advent of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, also known as Superfund, has cost Du Pont millions in legal fees, penalties and liabilities. The 13 member environmental law group focuses on preventative measures and holds its own costs down by using paralegals, outside counsel for litigation and sharing counsel with other participants in Superfund cases.
