The inevitability of knowledge management

Article Abstract:

Knowledge management (KM) is the term used to describe the ability of an organization to supply, operate and maintain new knowledge. The concept is best described as a developing strategy aimed at addressing a recurring weakness by taking advantage of inherent company knowledge. The primary purpose of KM is to encourage a more open exchange of ideas between parts of an organization that do not normally communicate and make the resulting information available to everyone.

Intellectual property concerns overdone, not half-baked

Article Abstract:

Concerns about potential threats to intellectual property in the US seem excessive. This exaggeration stems from the globalization of economies and lack of familiarity with competitors. The flow of new information also exacerbates the problem, causing confusion and uncertainty over such intellectual property as cassettes, compact discs, movies, videos, patents and trade secrets in the field of manufacturing and physical and biological inventions.
