The limit of technologies

Article Abstract:

Multimedia CD-ROMs or the World Wide Web cannot replace the world, despite rapid changes and technological advancement. People are social beings and need the presence of other humans. Women prefer shopping with friends to computer-generated mail shopping services, for instance. Satellite education systems fail to excite students as teachers do. Employee satisfaction and speedy solutions to problems are more successful in offices through personal interaction than through the latest technological gadgets at home.

National Performance Review (NPR) Dir. Bob Stone foresees hard work for his organization during the next four years under Pres. Bill Clinton's second term. However, he does not believe that the work will become more difficult than during the president's first term because the NPR has already set its objectives.
