The transistor laser

Article Abstract:

Transistors have undergone many changes during the last six decades. There is scope to introduce speedier broadband communications in both telecommunications networks and within and between chips by processing data with light. Details of how transistor laser is uniquely suited to emit both electrical and optical signals are given.
