Article Abstract:

Information regarding the changes that have been made to the construction industry to achieve better value are given. Less than 10% of the total construction industry, which makes up 10% of the GDP, have implemented changes brought about by the Sir John Egan report "rethinking construction".

Due to its light weight, natural flexibility, good insulating properties, and resistance to corrosion and chemicals, pvc is widely used as a construction material. The disadvantages of using pvc and the alternatives to pvc are discussed.
