A human health assessment of hazardous air pollutants in Portland, OR

Article Abstract:

Ambient air samples collected from five monitoring sites in Portland, Oregon, are analyzed for 43 hazardous air pollutants (HAP) that were then compared to carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic benchmark levels. Results indicate a need for additional monitoring and health assessments for HAPs in Portland, and abatement strategies for HAPs that exceeded health benchmarks in order to reduce potential adverse health risks.
