Agriculture and deforestation in the tropics: A critical theoretical and empirical review

Article Abstract:

An empirical review primarily from South America and Africa that agriculture is the dominant factor in forest loss in the tropics given the underpinning theoretical relationship between forestry and agriculture is indicated. It is suggested that the policymakers should identify technology strategies that bring about a win-win situation, which will help save the tropical forests from complete depletion together with its very important ecological and other functions.

Environmental and economic impacts of decision-making at an arable farm: An integrative modeling approach

Article Abstract:

The dependency between physical and anthropogenic systems in arable farming is examined. The environmental impacts had no clear-cut divide between organic and conventional farming due to the difficulties in allocating the use of manure.
