Assessing drought-related ecological risk in the Florida Everglades

Article Abstract:

The lack of a broad-scale that integrated way to portray and prioritise ecological stress in the Florida Everglades, which forms a necessary tool for addressing issues of environmental protection is described. Two ecological conditions that help define the physical and biological integrity of the Everglades are described by the GIS-based indices.

A land management history for central Queensland, Australia as determined from land-holder questionnaire and aerial photography

Article Abstract:

Some aspects of a land management history for central Queensland in Australia are discussed by using a random sample of 205 site locations, providing the base for determining trends in land use. The positive and negative impacts of the rapid transformation of central Queensland are discussed.

Rapid vegetation regeneration in a seriously degraded Rhanterium epapposum community in northern Kuwait after 4 years of protection

Article Abstract:

A vegetation recovery in sandy depressions in the Sabriya outfield is investigated, four years after it was completely protected from livestock grazing and anthropogenic activities. The Sabriyan study area is located in north-eastern Kuwait.
