Nuclear proliferation threatens the high seas

Article Abstract:

The nuclear nations of the world have made a show of reducing nuclear arsenals and supporting nuclear disarmament, but they are not talking about plans to ship deadly plutonium across the oceans of the world. A Greenpeace crew discovered the first of such shipments at Cherbourg, France, and anchored nearby to prevent the loading process until they were arrested. Another Greenpeace ship is following the shipment from France to Japan and warning nations along the route.

Antarctica

Article Abstract:

The environmental organization Greenpeace campaigns for the preservation of Antarctica as a World Park through the initiative of the Clinton administration.
