Biological treatment of tannery wastewater in the presence of chromium

Article Abstract:

The chromium addition has less influence on the denitrification bacteria than on the nitrification bacteria. Various measures to determine the removal efficiency of carbon and nitrogen substance using lab scale sequencing batch reactors (SBR) reactor fed with untreated tannery wastewater containing a relevant amount of chromium are discussed.

Sorption studies of mixed chromium and chlorinated ethenes at the field and laboratory scales

Article Abstract:

The chromium sorption isotherm data is simulated using the triple layer surface complexation model (TLM). The isotherm data is modeled using the TLM, illustrating the applicability of geochemical modeling for sorption of chromium to aquifer sediments under variable pE-pH conditions.
