Chitosan-supported palladium catalyst. IV . influence of temperature on nitrophenol degradation and thermodynamic parameters

Article Abstract:

To prepare a chitosan-supported palladium catalyst, glutaraldehyde cross-linked chitosan is loaded with palladium and then reduced using an in suit hydrogen generation procedure. In order to determine the minimum molar ration between nitrophenol and sodium, the influence of the initial concentration of these compounds is also studied.

Transport of gellan gum microbeads through sand: an experimental evaluation for encapsulated cell bioaugmentation

Article Abstract:

The feasibility of using gelencapsulated bacteria for bioaugmentation of contaminated aquifers was evaluated by studying transport of 10-40 um gellan gum microbeads in horizontal sand columns. It is seen that under the employed injection conditions, gellan gum microbeads can be distributed through certain zones of a soil matrix.

Bioremediation of solis conatminated with explosives

Article Abstract:

An examination was conducted on the most important groups of chemicals that must be treated at sites contaminated by explosive processing. Chemical and biological transformations were conducted in the commercial process developed to exploit these transformation for treatment of contaminated soil.
