Fugitive in Silver Shovel captured: 1st to be charged in 1990s probe held in Mexico

Article Abstract:

Marco Morales, 59, once a prominent Chicago businessman who was convicted in the Operation Silver Shovel probe of public corruption was sentenced 59-months prison in 1997 after he pleaded guilty of selling cocaine to Silver Shovel mole John Christopher and bribing an undisclosed. U.S. Authorities issued a warrant for Morales' in February 1998 after learning that he had fled to Mexico and Mexico Authorities arrested him on May 20, 2004 in the city of Merida, Mexico.

The ability of eselcted cladoceran species to utilize domestic wastewaters in Mexico City

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the population growth patterns of four cladocerans on wastewaters from a treatment plant at Iztacalco, Mexico City is discussed. The ability of the four cladocerans to utilize untreated and partially treated wastewater is also studied.

Wildfire effects on hiking and biking demand in New Mexico: a travel cost study

Article Abstract:

A travel cost model is used to test the effects of wild and prescribed fire on visitation by hikers and mountain bikers in New Mexico. The various benefits that are derived for the mountain bikers by the model are discussed.
