How to gain a first
Article Abstract:
Students seeking to gain a first class degree should choose their university and subject carefully. Some universities award far fewer first class degrees than others, and some large faculties rarely give firsts. There can also be considerable variation among subjects, with a first class degree in physics, for example, being awarded much more frequently than a first class degree in politics. In broad subject areas, there are fewer firsts awarded in social sciences than in the arts or physical and mathematical sciences.
