Interdisciplinary conflict analysis and conflict mitigation in local resource management

Article Abstract:

The detailed results of the Sustainable Coastal Zone Management (SUCOZOMA) are published separately that reviews conflict research results. The combined stakeholder and conflict analysis are explained in four ways that include mapping the stakeholders and their interests, analyzing the conflict, developing methods of conflicts, and reviewing the management of natural resources the components are integrated.

Toward a sustainable experience in an intermountain valley in northwestern Argentina

Article Abstract:

The application of integrated environmental management or ecosystem management along with sustainable social and economic systems are vital to sustainable development that is considered to be the only accepted path to the future. The possibility of making the Chaquivil Valley in northwestern Argentina a productive intermountain area and enabling it to achieve a sustainable tourism-based economy is studied.

Decadal changes in a polluted bay as seen from its seaweed flora: the case of Santos Bay in Brazil

Article Abstract:

The first seaweed flora of a Brazilian region was published in 1957 by describing and illustrating 105 taxa. The results of a new survey made in 1998-1999 indicate an increase in species number due to the efforts made by the local government to reduce the population and the building of a submarine sewage terminal.
