Russia sacks to TV journalist after Chechnya, interview: Kremlin silences media's criticism

Article Abstract:

Russian top journalist Leonid Parfyonov has taken an interview with the widow of a Chechen separatist leader Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev and he decided to air that interview against the wishes of Russia's intelligence community so NTV, national television network said that he has been fired and his top rated news magazine program, Namedni has been shut down. Parfyonov freely criticized Putin and Kremlin in her program.

FBI seeks sources of leak on Iran code: Chalabi denies role; calls reports `false', `stupid'

Article Abstract:

Federal law enforcement officials confirmed on Wednesday 2nd June, 2004 that the FBI's counterintelligence division was investigating the reported leak to Ahmad Chalabi head of the Iraqi National Congress and Pentagon's favorite to rule Iraq until incident. In Najaf, Iraq Chalabi told the Associated Press that reports that he leaked the highly classified information are "false" and "stupid".

World War II veterans look back-and up

Article Abstract:

Thousands of survivors of World War II gathered across Europe to mark the 60th anniversary of D-Day, the veterans of the Italian campaign shared memories. 14 American and Canadian force veterans traveled to Italy for 6th June, (D-Day) 2004 commemoration of the liberation of Rome from Hitler's army.
