Wildlife resource utilization at Moremi Game Reserve and Khwai community area in the Okavango Delta, Botswana

Article Abstract:

The concept of Sustainable development is used to examine the utilization of wildlife resources at Moremi Game Reserve (MGR) and Khwai community area in the Okavango delta, Botswana. The Botswana Government adopted the Community-Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) programme, for Khwai residents resulting in their positive attitude towards wildlife conservation and by extending to MGR promotion of sustainable wildlife use in and around this area can be obtained.

The environmental history of Chatthin Wildlife Sanctuary, a protected area in Myanmar (Burma)

Article Abstract:

The environmental history of Chatthin Wildlife Sanctuary (CWS), a protected area in Myanmar (Burma), was reconstructed in order to examine the effects of social and economic events, policy changes and management activities on the sanctuary's ecology. The major threats to CWS during the past few decades have resulted from economic and land use decisions and the future of CWS depends on implementing innovative practices and new policies.
