Demonstrating the use of compost

Article Abstract:

Henry Doubleday Research Foundation opened its Yalding Organic Gardens in Kent, England in 1995. The 10-acre site will serve as demonstration garden to show the economic benefits of using composts to enhance soil characteristics. In addition, the garden will help promote other organic methods of soil cultivation. Residuals used as compost feedstocks come from a small hop processing facility and animal manure from a nearby farm.
