European road safety charter for Northern Ireland

The European Road Safety Charter is a European Commission initiative aimed at improving road safety and halving the number of road deaths by 2010 in Europe. Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service is the first fire and rescue service in Europe to receive the charter in recognition of its commitment to road safety in Northern Ireland.
