Evaluating pathogen destruction in road kill composting

Article Abstract:

Composting seems to go well for managing road-killed deer, however doubts remain about the hygienic quality of the process as well as concerns about worker health. The guidance provided by a literature review conducted by Cornell Waste Management Institute (CWMI) to find the thermal stability of the pathogens identified during the process, would prove helpful to workers handling carcasses and composting.
