Experts question Danish LCA-based analysis of organics recycling

Article Abstract:

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency (DEPA) published a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which typed an analysis called "welfare economic analysis" to evaluate options for managing household organic waste. The DEPA suggested that the environmental cost of incineration and anaerobic digestion (AD) are about equal while the benefits of composting household organics waste are not worthwhile.
