McCain, Kerry draft new fuel economy bill for SUVs, light trucks

Article Abstract:

Sens John Kerry and John McCain's proposed legislation to increase the corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) standard for sports utility vehicles, cars and light trucks to diminish emissions of carbon dioxide is discussed. Additional information on the Kerry-McCain and Snowe-Feinstein legislations including the CAFE standard is included.
