Growing a commercial organics composting company

Article Abstract:

The composting company Brooks Contractor was established in the year 1990 and started full-time in 1992. They decided to do something significant with all the food waste generated in the growing Triangle area where dumping organic material in landfills eventually becomes a huge problem and realizing this, the company set up a program to divert large amounts of this excellent nitrogen source to composting operation.

Conversion technologies, recycling and renewable energy

Article Abstract:

California is debating whether or not to encourage the development of conversion technologies that convert solid wastes into energy and liquid fuels. The California state has a recycling rate at over 50% but landfilled waste is still high, therefore, California is debating about the best way to convert organic residuals into sustainable power and get support of the environmentalist opponents.

Latest trends in anaerobic digestion in North America

Manure and food waste codigestion systems are installed and added demand of such systems has drawn a large number of designers and developers, increasingly from outside North America. Trends in the manure digester industry that are reviewed in three general categories are discussed.
