Hungry mouths to feed

Article Abstract:

Many shredder operators in North America say that they are not seeing any present decline in shredder feedstock. Maxwell Zalev, president of Windsor, Canada-based Zalev Metals Inc., said that the company has the feedstock it needs with its current shredder. Zalev said that even with the company's newly-installed Mega-Shredder, there would still be enough feedstock. Scott Wilhelm, secretary-treasurer of Youngstown, OH-based Youngstown Iron and Metal Inc., agrees, saying that getting automobile body feedstock has not been a problem. Although automobile bodies are preferred, shredders also accept other feedstock, such as sheet iron and steel and appliances.

Bailing asap

Article Abstract:

Scrap metals processing companies are saving time and cost by using and bringing mobile and portable balers at demolition sites and satellite or feeder yards. Demolition contractors are also benefiting from portable balers since baled materials usually yield higher price and can be easily transported than loose materials. One of the latest portable shear-baler- logger equipment is Sierra International Machinery Inc's Idromec 500 SelfLoader, which was introduced in Mar 2000

Motor city power house

Article Abstract:

Ferrous Trading and Processing Co (FT&P) is a metal scrap recycling firm which has prospered because of its willingness to make capital investments needed to generate profits. FP&T's profitability and growth is attributed to its roster of talented officials who were once owners of firms which were acquired by FT&P. FT&P does not compare itself to its competitors but instead sets its own internal standards and works to surpass them.
