Investing in organics recycling

Article Abstract:

The mergers and acquisitions in the solid waste and biosolids industries present business opportunities for independent organics recycling firms. USA Waste Services Inc's planned merger with Waste Management Inc, for instance, could result in an increase in landfill prices that would level the playing field for organics recyclers. Scotts Co's acquisition of Earthgro and Synagro Technologies Inc's purchase of A&J Cartage Inc and the organics division of Browning-Ferris Industries raise opportunities for growth and expansion in the organics recycling sector.
