Mobile processing systems fit wood residuals

Article Abstract:

It is more cost effective to use mobile processing systems to process wood residuals than to transport wood residuals to the processing equipment. Wood residuals processing operations consists of materials handling, size reduction and screening. A front end loader is often used for materials handling. Size reduction is done using a variety of grinders. There are horizontal grinders, tub grinders, vertical feed grinders and hogs. The most commonly used screening equipment is the rotary trommel screen.

Food residuals management in Korea

Article Abstract:

The South Korean government has introduced targets to reduced landfill usage and improve recycling programmes. The Committee for Food Waste Management hopes to reduce food residual production to 0.27 kilograms per day per capita and achieve a 21 percent food recycling rate by 2001. The Korea Organic Waste Recycling Council has co-management the construction of a ten-ton per day composting plant in Seoul, South Korea. Large and small composting operations are increasingly common in the country.
