The fire and rescue service is strongest when it coordinates with law and order, health, education, and the full gamut of community-focused interventions. Presenting effective arguments for the acquisition of resources for dealing with seasonal wildfires and floods as compared to permanent social issues is important in ensuring that rescue service goals will not be sidelined.
