Paper fibre: making a guess

Article Abstract:

The paperboard container industry, which hopes to have survived the worst in Jan 2001, is pinning its future on the return of the overseas market. Old corrugated containers (OCC), which suffered some of the steepest declines in 2000, is expected to give a strong showing in 2001, particularly if there will be an increase in demand from Asia. However, some mill buyers report that an existing large supply of OCC negates the possibility of a major increase in prices.
