Small-scale digesters in Costa Rica

Article Abstract:

The small-scale digesters treating agricultural wastewater and producing energy are analyzed in order to explore different ways for increasing the efficiency of the systems. The analysis has shown that the small-scale digesters can provide methane and electricity to meet household needs resulting in increase in household income and decrease in water pollution and deforestation.

Maximizing revenue streams at composting facilities

Article Abstract:

Production processes of Colorado's A1 Organics are presented, focusing on the firm's joint work with municipalities on private and public projects, and residential recycling. The company has also participated in wildfire mitigation, demolition recycling and water conservation projects.

Agency teamwork creates compost success

Article Abstract:

Composting programs have linked several Walla Walla Valley, Washington agencies in a collective effort to manage organic residuals. The entities involved have created a compost advisory group to monitor progress of the composting program.
