UK hit by tornadoes

Article Abstract:

Tornadoes in September 2007 hit hard a number of locations in the UK, with the town of Farnborough, Hampshire affected by a tornado in September 24. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service members were deployed to the area to work on temporary repairs to ensure safety among residents.

Article Abstract:

Allan Middleton of the Avon Fire and Rescue service has been awarded 'Public Servant of the Year 2007' for his work addressing the antisocial behavior of young people. He helped set up the Fire Cadets scheme at Ashfield Young Offenders Institute.
