Spin away odor and decay in sewage drop structures

Article Abstract:

The emission of hydrogen sulfide, the primary cause of corrosion and odor problems in wastewater collection and treatment systems, can be prevented with the installation of a vortex drop shaft into a standard maintenance hole. The vortex drop design is capable of dissipating the potential energy inherent in the drop structures of water treatment systems, the main cause of the release of the hydrogen sulfide gas.
