A home court advantage

Article Abstract:

The new $420 million American Airlines Center located in Dallas, Texas, has been lauded as a model for its commitment to minority and women-owned business. These businesses won contracts that total over $94 million during the center's sports center construction. One minority-owned contracting business, Trevino Mechanical Contractors, won a $2.5 million pact for the center's parking garage. This win added up to about 10% of the company's revenues in 2000. The article provides additional information on the center.
