A plan - and a helping hand: Some of the best schools for Hispanics find that nurturing can be as important as teaching

Article Abstract:

The top schools for law, engineering, medicine and administration in the United States are distinct since they function as a nurturing place in addition to imparting education to Hispanic students. Schools like the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and the University of New Mexico Law School (UNM) offer welcoming support to Hispanic students and integrate them into an active community, providing a lot of access to facilities, thereby never making them feel a 'minority' and out of place.
