Chronicle of a business revolution: for two decades, Hispanic Business has documented the growing affluence and power of the Hispanic community

Article Abstract:

Publisher Jesus Chavarria founded Hispanic Business in 1979 to provide coverage of Hispanic American economic development, advancement and influence. The magazine helped to create a national business network for Hispanic entrepreneurs. Its initial circulation consisted of 25,000 subscribers. In 1999, it has 200,000. The journal monitors the largest 500 Hispanic businesses and provides annual directories, surveys and statistical charts of key business markets.

Detroit's Hispanic connection: Annual supplier event draws record attendance and number of sponsors

The Hispanic Business Expo and Economic Summit, an annual supplier event held in Detroit on September 29 2005, drew number of attendees, more that 125 exhibitors, 48 corporate sponsors, and coverage of 14 media organizations. Details on the different activities offered at the event and the high-profile sponsors attending Summit are presented.
