A token operation: 204 military mission to China, 1941-1945

Article Abstract:

The British force, known as 204 British Military Mission to China, consisted of six Army Commando Contingents trained in Maymyo in Burma, three of which scheduled to enter China to train Chinese military forces at the beginning of the inevitable war with Japan. At last Japan was defeated where contributions of China's guerillas were also included.

Toward Olympics 2008: China's development in the reform period

Article Abstract:

The Chinese Communist Party's (CCPs) immediate problems, the CCPs response to the 1997-1998 East Asia crash and the irreversibility of Chinas interdependence with the rest of the world is discussed. Sources reveal that there are growing incentives to introduce a change in official political norms before the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.

Yunnan, China: Minority peoples observed

Article Abstract:

The Province of Yunnan in south-west China is a land of minorities being heavily populated by Tibetans, Naxi, Yi, Bai and other tribal groups. With varied cultures and different languages, these inhabitants are fond of hunting and farming.
