Can the Multinationals Cope in the New Europe?

Article Abstract:

It is difficult for most Americans to understand the thinking of Europeans. History determines the actions of people. Attitudes play an important role in the actions of people. Such actions are formed over long periods. The beliefs of various European countries are analyzed. Frequently what is in their best interests is anathema to the concerns of the United States. Important initiatives and proposals are being formulated in Europe with severe consequences for American business interests. The make-up of the European Economic Community (EEC) shows its importance as the world's largest trading unit.
