Fried chicken chains are eyeing minority franchisees to penetrate inner-city neighborhoods. They will be tapped for new outlets in cities such as Houston and Dallas, TX, Chicago, Il, and Los Angeles, CA. The three leading chains of KFC, Popeye's and Church's have confirmed that they are indeed targeting the Hispanic market through Hispanic franchisees.

Building a business framework

The creation of an academic think tank to deal with the issues affecting the Hispanic-American economy has been proposed by the Hispanic Business Board of Economists. The think tank's role would be involved in making long-term strategies for issues like international trade and business development.

The business of immigration: CEOs fear new legislation will increase burdens and most likely hurt Hispanic-owned companies

Article Abstract:

Some CEOs believe that immigration reform will cause even legal immigrants to return to Mexico and will keep clients from conducting business with companies that employ large numbers of Hispanic workers. Most Hispanic business owners want to regulate illegal immigration, not legal immigration.
