Tangled web: the going continues to get tougher for Hispanic-oriented Internet sites

Hispanic-oriented Web sites are facing similar market forces as their mainstream counterparts. Those Web sites supported by large conglomerates have the resources to withstand the Internet advertising slump while others do not. More Hispanic sites are developing non-advertising sources of revenue such as subscription services. Financial data for top Hispanic sites is provided.

Dealers play the e-card: Auto dealerships find growth in Web-based services and marketing

Automobile dealers are modifying their Web sites to improve customer service while also increasing their market share. 61 percent of all dealership sites allow customers to apply for financing online and 52 percent invite users to schedule sales appointments. Large dealers have boosted sales of new autos through various strategies and are trying the same for used vehicles.
