Entrpreneurs under siege

Article Abstract:

The economic blow stemming from the terrorist attacks was felt quickly in the nation's small business community. In October, 2001, the National Federation of Independent Business released a study that showed optimism among owners of small business had plummeted to its lowest level since 1993. The article discusses the small business economic dilemma, as well as reactions from the Bush Administration, including the economic stimulus package.

Telemundo's Telenovela

Article Abstract:

Telemundo spokesperson Ted Guefen says that this has been a tough year for the Spanish-language television broadcaster. The company expected to become more competitive with Univision after Sony Pictures Entertainment and Liberty Media acquired Telemundo last year. The challenge has become more demanding since Telemundo's recent management reorganization. While the network's audience share is down 20%, ad revenue has sharply increased.
