Article Abstract:

The 2004 Hispanic Business Top 50 Exporters increased total export revenues 17.5 percent from 2003 to a record $1.78 billion, proving that the U.S. goods could be sold in the global marketplace. The wholesale industry earned $1.5 billion in export revenue in 2004, a 24-percent gain from 2003, while the manufacturing sector reflected an increase of nearly 16 percent in 2004 as compared to 2003.

Calm after the storm: after years of strong growth, Spanish-language radio billings stall

Article Abstract:

Following general industry trends, growth among the country's top 10 Spanish-language radio markets slowed to 3% in 2001, down from 23% in 2000. Spanish Broadcasting System and Hispanic Broadcasting Corp. are the leaders in the market. The top Spanish-language radio market is Hispanic Broadcasting Corp.'s Los Angeles operation with gross billings of $84 million in 2001.
