Gephardt means business

House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt feels that the Democratic Party in which he belongs, advocates business opportunities particularly for the minorities and small business communities. Gephardt believes that the Democratic Party is responsible for the affirmative action programs.

Speakers at the CEO Roundtable and HireDiversity Career Expo in Washington in 1999 discussed the importance of e-commerce and e-mail in the continued successful trading of minority businesses. A report on the activities of the conference and the issues raised is presented.
