The leaner, wiser U.S. Hispanic recording industry is bouncing back after years of decline in sales as record labels are employing more effective ways to market and sell music. The concentrated anti-piracy effort and budget cuts have forced the record companies to become more efficient and hence they are taking full advantage of Internet technology and are planning their promotions more carefully.

The homeownership rates have seen a steady rise, which has resulted in translating into a new source of capital for entrepreneurs. Hispanics looking for funding business ventures using their home equity are aided by rapid appreciation in the home market and low mortgage rates which has combined with a dearth of traditional business loans and has led to more entrepreneurs to their mortgage bankers.

Various companies targeting U.S. Hispanic consumers are viewing the Internet as a fresh and increasingly important advertising medium. The Internet Advertising Bureau's Hispanic Committee comprising of executives from companies such as Univision and Yahoo! estimates that U.S. online advertising to Hispanic would reach $75 million in the year 2004, up 67 percent from the year 2003.
