NAFTA: the first year

Article Abstract:

NAFTA was successful in invigorating US-Mexican trade as proven by the 22% increase in US exports to Mexico from 1993-1994. Although the economic crisis in Mexico adversely affected cross-border trade, NAFTA is expected to bring more profits to American and Mexican business owners.

NAFTA in the real world

Article Abstract:

The devaluation of the peso produced a record contraction of the Mexican economy and blurred the direct effects of NAFTA. Opportunities for Hispanic businesses to trade with, invest in and form alliances in Mexico abound. Entrepreneurs must find a promising niche market.
