Minority suppliers are in demand in corporate America and are winning competitive contracts for goods and services. Their services are used for their innovation and capability that enable corporations gain profits, but the time is yet to come when large corporations see their contribution as part of an integrated business process.

The advantages and disadvantages of using the 8(a) Small Business Administration loan program are discussed by Hispanic business persons. While some of the companies profiled have had good success in winning federal contracts, others have been participants in the 8(a) program for years and not yet won a contract.
